- Drive 100 kilometers south from Brisbane and you’ll happen upon the Gold Coast Hinterlands, the name given to the grouping of national parks and landscapes, the natural beauty of which is best seen by car. For example, you can start by going up Lamington National Park and circle back to Springbrook, making sure to stop at lookouts along the way.
Major Highways In Brisbane- Pacific Motorway M1 is a major urban corridor that connects Brisbane to Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. The stretch running along the coast is referred to as Gateway Motorway.
- On the west side of Brisbane, the M5 Motorway has two parts: The Centenary Motorway runs 43 kilometers through the western suburbs, while closer to the city, the Western Freeway is a 5-km piece with an adjacent bicycle lane.
