Here’s Our Take on the Best Months to Visit

As the saying goes, Paris is a good idea anytime; but still, some months can be better than others, depending on whether it’s more important to you to have sunny skies and mild temps or cheap flight tickets.

To us, the best time to visit Paris, France is from April to June and October to early November when the weather is mild and enjoyable and the tourist crowds are smaller than in the summer. The cheapest time to visit Paris though is early December, January, and February. Our favorite month of all in Paris is June because the weather is good and flight ticket prices, while more expensive, are still not as high as they can get for the other summer months.  June temperatures average lows of 54 and highs of 70 degrees Fahrenheit with many days of sunshine and little rain.

Many seasoned travelers and travel professionals though will tell you that the best time to visit Paris is in summer and autumn—specifically, the months of June, July, and August, and September and October.  This is because there is often a lot of interesting activities during these months like festivals.

Summer in Paris

July temps rise slightly to average lows of 58 degrees F. and highs of 75 degrees F. with more long days of sunshine. August is a carbon copy of July. To summarize, summer in Paris is picture-postcard beautiful.

Autumn in Paris

September temps drop down a few degrees to an average of 52-69 degrees with a few inches of rain. October temps drop down to an average of 46-59 degrees, again with light precipitation.
