This Hillcrest favorite has been around for over 50 years and does not appear to have changed much since the 70s. Nunu’s is a bar straight out of the 70s as well. Aero Club Bar

One of San Diego’s oldest and best-known dives. A favorite for whiskey lovers. Opened in 1947 by a female pilot who incorporated her occupation into its design, creating a funky aviation-themed décor, as its name implies. It is a local black hole that draws a crowd with pinball, a pool table with an extensive whiskey selection. One of the most absurdly well-stocked whiskey bars in America.

Located on Kettner Blvd in Little Italy, it is proudly known as San Diego’s oldest tavern, Waterfront. Doors open at 6:00 am and there is a menu for that late night or early morning hunger pangs with solid food.
