Orlando Neighborhood Guide

Travelers from all over the world make a pilgrimage to Orlando to visit one of the world-renowned amusement parks that have come to define this region. While they undoubtedly have the time of their life at the parks, there is certainly more to Orlando than roller coasters and merry-go-rounds. This is one area of the Sunshine State that features neighborhoods known for so much more.

Winter Park

Located just Northeast of Orlando, Winter Park is known for being one of Orlando’s most beautiful cities. With cultural hot-spots like the Albin Polasek Museum & Gardens, the Morse Museum of Modern Art, and the Casa Feliz Historic Home, even history buffs can get their fix in Orlando.

East Orlando

For those looking for a good party, East Orlando is the place. Home to the University of Central Florida. The area is diverse, young, and hip. Locals and students interact with a variety of sports games to attend, great restaurants, and student-run plays. Down-to-earth and cheap, East Orlando is a budget-traveler’s best friend.

College Park

Not to be confused with East Orlando, no college is actually found in college park. Named for the variety of college-themed street names like Yale, Harvard, and Princeton, College Park is a quaint Orlando experience. With an abundance of lakes, Irish pubs, and cheap drinks, College Park is one of the loveliest neighborhoods in Orlando.

Kissimmee

Just south of Orlando, Kissimmee offers an outdoor retreat to those tired of roller coasters and rides. With beautiful beaches along Lake Tohopekaliga, the massive Kissimmee Waterfront Park, and old-school American homes, Kissimmee is a unique twist on the classic Orlando vacation.
