This classic Chicago hot dog joint is a no-frills introduction to the city’s famous indulgence. Glaring neon signs and the crowded ambiance add to the frenzied, gotta-have-it-now attitude that has everyone begging for a bite of the Italian-sausage hot dogs. Since its opening in 1963, Portillo’s has made its mark on the city: nearly everyone has this restaurant on their must-taste list (and for good reason)!
