Los Angeles is world-renowned for its posh homes, glamorous living, and long list of celebrity residents. With such a large local pool of talent, it is no wonder that the nation’s biggest entertainment city is home to so many incredible cultural attractions. In fact, there are more museums and theaters in L.A. than in any other U.S. city!

In the face of so many artistic and cultural offerings, it is easy to become overwhelmed with the expansive city’s arts and culture scene. The Getty Center

The world-famous collections of the J. Paul Getty Museum can be viewed at the Getty Center. The Getty Center first opened its doors in 1997. Since its inception, the 24-acre campus has housed some of the world’s most treasured artistic achievements. The center’s permanent collection includes important works from artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Rembrandt, and Giacomo.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art

Since 1965, the L.A. County Museum of Art (LACMA) has been collecting a diverse and impressive collection of art works that span a diverse range of both history and geography, and additionally represent L.A.’s unique population. Today, the expansive collection includes more than 120,000 objects including Latin American art, Asian art, Islamic art, and pre-Columbian art.

Since 1998 Shakespeare by the Sea has entertained L.A. residents every with their annual summer program. The repertory season runs for 10 weeks in a variety of outdoor venues throughout Los Angeles. Playing within an array of local parks, amphitheatres, and outdoor space, the company is always on the move but are totally worth catching up with.

L.A. Opera At The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion

The L.A. Opera offers and exciting season of premieres and classics. The fantastic company is housed in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion located in Downtown and delivers great shows year after year.
