You know what you want to do; something along the lines of eat, drink, and be merry, right? Well, here’s how you do all that and more.

How to Spend 48 Hours in Las Vegas

You’re in Las Vegas – Sin City! – for just two days. You know what you want to do, something along the lines of eat, drink, and be merry, but you don’t quite know how to do that in this scintillating town. Have no fear, we’re here to help! Read on and find out how to make the most of your precious two days in this exciting place!

Day 1

Morning

Hash House A Go Go at the Linq

This breakfast spot located at The LINQ Hotel & Casino on the Strip is known for its humongous dishes of classic American breakfast food. Having won the Best of LV award and previously featured on the Travel Channel’s “Man v. Food” show, this is a sure-thing when it comes to great eats. Since the restaurant is open around the clock, you’ll be able to get your breakfast on regardless of whether you’re an early bird or a late sleeper. Afterward, feel free to stroll the Linq Promenade, which is full of shops and entertainment, or ride the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel.

Bellagio Fountains

No Vegas trip is complete without wide-eyed wandering on the Strip. The casinos are all lined up, clamoring for your attention and bursting with glitz and glamor to behold. Perhaps one of the most stunning sights is the Fountains of Bellagio, right outside the Bellagio of Las Vegas. You can catch a show nearly every half hour. These massive fountains seemingly “dance” to music, spraying water far into the air in impressive arcs and spirals, and almost every performance is completely unique. Best of all, it’s completely free to everyone who happens to be walking by.

Afternoon

GIADA

Not far from the Bellagio Fountains, located at The Cromwell, is GIADA, an Italian restaurant with “Californian influences.” Giada offers a brunch menu perfect for the afternoon hunger pains, and each dish is lighter than typical Italian recipes. You’ll be able to dine with a great view of the aforementioned Bellagio Fountains and Caesar’s Palace.

Caesars Palace Forum Shops

Ready for a shopping experience that will blow your mind? You’ll find some of the most upscale retail opportunities, perfect for leaving with a Vegas souvenir. If you can, build the free Fall of Atlantis show into your itinerary, a stunning show with fire, water and the Greek gods.

Evening

Gen Korean BBQ House

Located in the Galleria Mall in Henderson, Gen is a Korean BBQ with grills built right into the tables, ready for you to begin biting off much more than you can chew. For a flat rate, you have full run of the menu for two hours. The servers bring out plate after plate of raw meat, marinaded to perfection, for you to cook to your taste. The atmosphere is fun and luxurious; you’ll have a blast, but be sure to wear sweat pants!

Mystic Falls Laser Light Show

The Sam’s Town casino puts on a (free!) laser light show daily starting in the afternoon and running every two hours. The Sam’s Town atrium alone is gorgeous with its waterfall, trees and faux wildlife. The hotel rooms span all four walls, and the ceiling is made of glass, making for an almost magical experience. Then, the laser show comes to life as do the animatronic animals, fountains and music!

Day 2

Morning

Mon Ami Gabi

Mon Ami Gabi, located in the Paris Las Vegas, is perfect for some French cuisine and maybe a little afternoon wine while enjoying the beautiful Vegas weather on an open-air patio.

Pinball Hall of Fame

Half museum, half arcade—the Pinball Hall of Fame is the perfect destination for both the enthusiastic child and the nostalgic parent. This warehouse-sized facility is home to classic pinball machines, themed novelty games and 80s video arcade games. Many are museum pieces themselves, rare and dating back to the 60s or even earlier. With $20 in quarters and a kinship with flippers and tilt, you can run wild while enjoying the largest collection of pinball machines in the world.

Afternoon

Picadilly Pizza

Picadilly Pizza is a cozy pizza joint located right on Fremont just a block away from Main Street. Meals are cooked fresh to order, and you can take advantage of the salad bar!

The Mob Museum

Next on the itinerary, The Mob Museum in Downtown Las Vegas proudly and unflinchingly displays Vegas’s rich mob past with interactive exhibits and engaging narratives. See what the movies have left out of organized crime.

Evening

Heart Attack Grill

The Heart Attack Grill can be found conveniently at the edge of the Experience, ready for you to accept the challenge of eating one of its Bypass burgers. Be warned—they make you wear hospital gowns at the table.

Fremont Street Experience

Fremont Street is the “downtown” of Vegas, equipped with historic casinos and monuments, street performers and restaurants. However, its main attraction is its ceiling, which is fitted with approximately 2.1 million light bulbs. These lights are coordinated for nightly shows with musical accompaniments. After the show, check out the million dollar display at Binion’s or ride the zip line above the crowd.
