Successful Coral Sea Campaign

In an aim to protect huge areas of the Coral Sea, Australian authorities have designated the area as a marine park in a desperate attempt to save the underwater wonderland.

Covering over one million square kilometers, the size of France and Germany combined, Environment Minister Tony Burke understands the need for preservation, “It contains more than 20 outstanding examples of isolated tropical reefs, sandy cays and islands.”

Entering the Australian economic zone in the next three months, the government is finalizing how best to protect the marine by adding suitable limitations to the marine park, reducing activities that have the potential to harm the wildlife.

Now that the park has been awarded an official status, why not take a visit and book cheap flights to Australia for a chance to snorkel in this stunning region?
