Coke fans of the world have a place to play. Atlanta’s World of Coca Cola, located downtown in the heart of Atlanta’s best attractions, is a great place to cool off from the heat and enjoy some historic refreshment.

The museum covers Coca-Cola history, which began in Atlanta over 125 years ago. Coca-Cola has come a long way since its initial price of five cents per glass, and a large majority of this journey is documented in the World of Coca-Cola Museum. The museum houses more than 1,200 coke-themed artifacts from around the globe.

Step inside “The Vault” to take a peak at where the secret formula is hidden. Inside this area, you can explore hands-on activities, try your hand at mixing your own soda recipe in an interactive computer game, and learn the history of the secret formula.

The Bottle Works area gives you the chance to explore a working bottling factory where you can watch bottles be filled, capped, packed, and ready for shipment. Outside, kids can meet the Coca-Cola bear and snap a picture with him.

A 4D movie, In Search of the Secret Formula, puts guests in the action with not only 3D picture, but also a few surprises along the way. The Perfect Pauses Theater goes through the history of Coca-Cola advertising – no doubt the commercials and print ads from your childhood will be featured.

The most exciting part of the tour is visiting “Taste It”: a Coca-Cola tasting room. Here you can sample over 60 products from five different geographic areas around the world!  Your tour ends with a nice, cold original Coca-Cola just in case you didn’t get enough sampling.

The Coca-Cola store is on site to handle all of your souvenir needs, and the Pemberton Café, named after Coca-Cola’s creator, sits adjacent to the museum and is open for lunch and dinner daily.

The World of Coca-Cola is open seven days/week. Tickets for adults are $19, kids 3-12 are $15, and kids 2 and under are free.
