Here at CheapOair, our employees hail from all around the world: India, Poland, Jamaica, Sri Lanka… Even Spokane, Washington. So when we saw that some folks had the audacity to rank U.S. cities based on the supposed attractiveness of their locals, we felt that we had to say something.

We love travel and we love it for reasons that go far beyond the subjective nature of physical attraction. And besides, as Roald Dahl famously wrote, “A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts, it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”

So let’s think good thoughts and see these nine cities through the eyes of the locals who love their towns, wonky noses and all.

(And make sure to take the poll to the right of this post to let us know what you love about your city!)

Baltimore, Maryland. What were they thinking? This city (and its people) look amazing to us.

Sacramento, California. Sun + style… Nothing wrong here!

Oh how I wish I was headed to @ostrichfarmla for brunch again. Damn that place was good. (Snapped last weekend).
