Virgin America Delays Orlando Routes, Adds In-Flight Wine Service CheapOair Staff May 6, 2010 general Virgin America adds in-flight wine service Virgin America will announce today its decision to postpone its start of service to Orlando International Airport as a result of delays in the airline’s aircraft delivery schedule. Previously the airline announced that it would begin daily nonstop flights from both Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International Airport to Orlando beginning the August 19, 2010. However, because of an unanticipated delay in its aircraft delivery schedule, Virgin America will delay the launch of the service until at least October 2010. The airline plans to release a new start date in the coming weeks. Once the date is released, guests will be able to book Orlando tickets via Virgin America’s website and call center. In other Virgin America news, the airline released a brand new in-flight wine and food menu. An exclusive wine list was made for the airline by Gary Vaynerchuk, world-renowned wine expert. Virgin America has also added summer items to its menu. The airline has included a number of fresh and seasonal options. There are plans this summer for Gary Vaynerchuk to host a wine tasting in the First Class Cabin as well. Source: PR Newswire
