In yet another sign that the economy is on the mend, US Airways reported a fourth quarter profit due to more people flying and higher ticket prices.

In the report revealed Wednesday, the Tempe, Arizona based carrier said it was the first time they were in the green for a fourth quarter since 2006.

The airline reported a $28 million profit, which is up significantly from their $79 million loss one year prior.

US Airways made about 3.4 percent more per passenger thanks in large part to increased ticket prices and added fees for checked bags and other formerly free amenities.
