United Continental announced this past week they will begin offering new service via its Continental Airlines unit between San Francisco and Guadalajara, Mexico on June 9. The airline just needs to get final approval from the Mexican government. 

The company said the flights would be daily. Continental currently has 38 flights per week to Guadalajara from their hub in Houston, Texas and plans to add a flight from Los Angeles on May 3. 

Continental Airlines and United Airlines merged last year to become United Continental, with the company planning to merge them into one airline called United.
