Airline Crews Could Receive Retina Scans

Passengers may have shorter wait times trying to get through airport security if the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) plans to screen airline crews separately go in to effect.


The TSA announced the plans to be begin using an identity verification program that would allow airline crews to skip the body scanners and pat-downs.


Details are not completely worked out but the TSA will be implementing biometric techniques such as retina scans and fingerprint matching.


The report by the Los Angeles Times indicated the program will begin testing this year.
