A new Disneyland park is headed to China

Construction of the planned Disneyland Shanghai could begin as early as May, according to new reports out of China.

Phase one of the project, worth an estimated $3.7 billion, calls for the construction of three parks (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot) spread over 2.7 miles.

Set to open in 2015, China’s newest Disney attraction will be located about 13 miles southeast of Shanghai.

Elsewhere, China’s World of Warcraft theme park in the Wunjin district is rumored to open sometime this spring. First thought to be a hoax, the existence of the videogame-themed park has now been confirmed by several news outlets.
