It looks like you might have to re-think that excuse. According to a new study, the busiest airports in the United States are offering more healthy options than ever before. A study from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine looked at 15 of the nation’s busiest airports and produced some surprising results. According to the findings, 83% percent of nationwide airport restaurants offered at least one heart-healthy, low-fat, vegetarian entree in 2011. That’s a significant improvement over the last decade. According to the organization’s figures, just 57% of restaurants offered healthy choices in 2011.
