The monument will undergo a $27.25 million renovation. Its last day will be October 28th. People will still be able to visit the New York tourist attraction and take pictures of the statue. Breaking Travel News is reporting that there will be no view obstruction. The renovation will allow for more visitors and improved safety measures. It reopened on July 4th, 2009 for the first time since 9/11.
