Virgin to send people to spaceby 2012

Have you ever dreamed about flying into outer space? Well according to Virgin CEO and entrepreneur Richard Branson, you will not have to wait that much longer.

According to Branson, commercial space travel via Virgin Galactic is only 18 months away, with plans for the first flight to take place in early 2012 aboard SpaceShipTwo.

Commenting on the news, Branson told the media, “We have just finished building SpaceShipTwo." He later added, "we are 18 months away from taking people into space.”

So far over 330 people have left deposits totaling $45 million in order to reserve a seat aboard the six-person aircraft.  Prices fora trip to space reportedly start at a whopping $200,000.00!
