Southwest Airlines to add Four new Destinations from Newark Airport CheapOair Staff December 15, 2010 general Southwest Airlines announced Wednesday it plans to add service from Newark Liberty International Airport to four destinations in 2011. The Dallas-based airline said it will fly nonstop from Newark to Baltimore, Denver, Houston and Phoenix starting June 5, 2011. The carrier plans to offer a combined 10 daily flights to those destinations. Southwest already announced it will fly between Newark and Chicago's Midway Airport and St. Louis beginning March 27, 2011. The "LUV" airline was given rights to operate 18 daily round-trips out of Newark under the merger deal between Continental Airlines and United Airlines.
