In 2010, South Africa saw an estimated seven million foreign visits thanks largely to the Fifa World Cup.

Now South Africa wants to target those markets unlocked by the excitement of last year’s big event and reach out to Africa, Asia and South America as well.

The goal is to increase the amount of foreign visits from seven million per years to 15 million by 2020. The increased tourism would create roughly 225,000 new jobs.
