Singapore Airlines Inks Long Term Alliance with Virgin Australia CheapOair Staff June 7, 2011 general Singapore Airlines will soon begin code-sharing on international flights Singapore Airlines and Virgin Australia have signed a long-term code-share agreement which will soon allow the carriers to code-share on both international and domestic flights. The deal, which is awaiting regulatory approval, will also allow the airlines to launch joint sales and marketing campaigns. Reciprocal frequent flier rewards will also be made available to passengers flying with both airlines. Tweaks to the carriers’ flight schedules will allow for smoother connections between many of Singapore Airlines’ international markets and Virgin Australia’s most popular Australian and Pacific destinations.
