Inaugural season tickets went on sale Tuesday for Las Vegas’ brand new Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

The Center’s first season will include runs from hit Broadway shows,
including "The Color Purple”, "Mary Poppins," "Million Dollar Quartet,"
and “Memphis."

The season officially kicks off in April 2012 and season tickets range in price from $99 to $309.

Officials are hoping the all-star line-up and modest pricing will help generate buzz for the $470 million project which aims to create a sense of culture for Las Vegas locals away from the neon lights of the Strip.
