The company has requested that Airbus return new engines from the aircraft assembly line in Toulouse, France so they can be sent to airlines for temporary swaps. Rolls-Royce plans to fix the parts that are leaking oil and then switch the engine back. “Over a period of time, it is likely we will replace the relevant module on all grounds,” Rolls-Royce said in an email to Bloomberg. “We seek to minimize disruptions and this program will enable our customers progressively to bring the whole fleet back into service.” Source: The Sydney Morning Herald
