In an attempt to help passengers get on board quicker, O’Hare International Airport in Chicago has launched a quicker screening process for airline pilots.

The program is called “KnownCrew.” It requires TSA screeners to use laptops to verify an airline pilot’s photo ID badge and its driver’s license in comparison to the pictures stored in an employee database. The pilot must also enter their ID number as well.

Pilots will no longer be searched by screeners, nor will their carry-on if they’re able to meet all the aforementioned security measures.

Quicker screening for flight attendants is also in the works.
