Paris Hilton Stopped at Tokyo Airport on Arrival CheapOair Staff September 21, 2010 general 1 Comment Paris Hilton was stopped at Tokyo’s Narita airport by immigration officials after landing on a flight from Las Vegas Tuesday. The news of the US socialite being stopped comes just one day after pleading guilty to cocaine charges. Officials at Narita interviewed the 29-year-old hotel heiress and briefly considered sending her back to the U.S. because of a suspended sentence Hilton received for the charges. On Monday, a Las Vegas court gave Hilton two six-month suspended jail terms, a $2,000 dollar fine (pocket change), a mandatory completion of a substance abuse program and 200 hours of community service for possessing cocaine and lying about it. The court informed her that if she was arrested again she would be looking at a year in jail. According to an AFP report, “The Narita branch of the Tokyo immigration control office told Jiji that a person on a suspended jail term was not allowed to enter Japan except for special reasons.” Hilton has scheduled to be on hand for an event with her sister Nicky, 26, to promote her original brand for handbags and accessories. The event has since been canceled.
