Let’s be honest… We all know what we’d see if we got to gaze into the Mirror of Erised.

But this October 27th – 30th, we Muggles (still refusing to use No-Maj, sorry J.K.) are getting the next best thing:

That’s right. Just a fun-filled, magical 4-hour road trip from New York City, Ithaca, New York is transforming into Hogsmeade for its second annual “Wizarding Weekend.”

We’re totally renting a Ford Anglia.

For the entire Halloween weekend, the city will be putting on a multitude of events and contests, most of which will be completely free for wizards and Muggles alike!

Gotta save those Galleons.

The events include a Dark Arts Coffee Crawl, Horcrux Hunt, Karaoke Party, Dumbledore’s Army Training Classes, a Triwizard Ball, a Wizarding Brunch and SO MUCH MORE!

Gotta head to Madam Malkin’s for some dress robes…

The event began last year when Press Bay Alley, a shopping area in Ithaca, thought up the idea. They thought it would be a kitschy — but quiet — community event. They. Were. Wrong. The event exploded and drew in thousands of international visitors.

This year, the town expects 13,000 people to attend!

Are you ready to fly north for the fun?

A whole weekend of magic not enough for you? You’re in luck! A neighborhood in Philadelphia is turning into Hogsmeade the weekend before — on October 21st and 22nd.

So basically, October rocks for Potterheads.

Needless to say, we’re ready.

Mischief managed.
