The Grand Canyon is among the parks offering free admission June 21

 

Today marks the first official day of summer and to celebrate, the National Parks Service is offering free admission to over 100 national parks that normally charge an admission fee.

 

The list includes some of the most beloved and well-known parks in the nation, from the Grand Canyon in Arizona to Yosemite National Park in California to Cape Cod in Massachusetts.

 

Remaining fee-free days in 2011 include September 24 (Public Lands Day) and November 11-13 (Veterans Day Weekend.) For a full list of participating parks, click here.
