Flying with your pooch or kitty in the near future? A little frightened about the whole process? Fear not as many airlines have been working hard on making sure your special "pawsenger" will be treated right from point A to point B. 

Recently Petfinder.com named the most pet-friendly airlines for 2010. Low-cost carrier JetBlue was awarded with two honors including "Best Pet-Friendly Amenities" and "Best for Animal Health and Safety" by the website while the "Best for Budget-Conscious Consumers" was awarded to AirTran.

Petfinder added that airlines like JetBlue, which enforce a strict policy that forbids pets fly in cargo, reported zero animal deaths between May 2009 and May 2010. The website noted that airlines are becoming more serious about how they transport pets, which is great news for passengers.
