Minnesota's Iron Range region, which is the hometown of legendary singer Bob Dylan, want him to come home and perform where it all began.

The town has definitely changed their turn since the last time the 68-year old musical icon previously did a show there.

When Dylan last rocked Iron Range, he was billed under his real name Robert Zimmerman and was not accepted by locals (he was also not famous).

Zimmerman fled the Midwest for New York, changed his name to Bob Dylan and never looked back. But Northern Minnesota is hoping he will reconsider.

Using Social Media sites like Facebook and Twitter, Iron Range Tourism Bureau is asking fans of the rocker to sign a petition asking Mr. Dylan to come home.

Dylan is currently on tour and has yet to respond to the request for his appearance.
