Lufthansa increases September passenger traffic

 

German flag carrier Lufthansa Airlines announced Monday that passenger traffic was up for the month of September by 12 percent when compared to a year earlier.

 

Lufthansa stated 5.69 million passengers flew their airline last month, with the load factor also up by 1.9 percent.

 

In
the first nine months of 2010, 44.1 million passengers flew with Lufthansa planes, an increase of 5.2 percent from the same period a year
earlier.

 

"While the passenger count grew in all traffic regions, the strongest
growth was recorded in the Middle East / Africa region," the airline
said.
