London Tube workers to strike next month

More strike news today, but this time instead of it being about the airlines, it is about the subway.

Workers for London Underground are scheduling a strike next month in what will be the first of four planned walkouts over job cuts.

The strike will affect an estimated 3.5 million people who rely on the subway or Tube each day for work and general travel around one of the world's most popular cities.

The first 24-hour strike is scheduled for September 6th at 5pm. Drivers, signalers and station staff are expected to walk off the job four hours later.

The other scheduled strike dates are planned for October 3, November 2 and 28.
