Planes Had a Hard Time Leaving Sunday

New York City Flights saw delays Sunday in all major airports thanks to the massive rainfall.

It was so much rain that John F. Kennedy International Airport set a record with 7.72 inches, the most at the New York airport in a single day.

Transit officials were forced to pump rain out of the subway system.  Buses saw detours too.

The new record topped 6.3 inches in 1983. The most rain in the region was 10.87 at Lido Beach in Nassau County.
