JetBlue turns 10

JetBlue celebrates a decade of flying high

With all the excitement of a blizzard that crippled the East Coast, we almost forgot to give a big "Happy Birthday" to low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways. The company turned 10 on February 11.

Boy how time flies (or jets). It seems like just yesterday that the airline that revolutionized travel with DirecTV service and Terra blue chips launched it's inaugural flight from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport down south to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Since that time JetBlue has become the seventh most used U.S. airline servicing 60 destinations in more than 20 states, Puerto Rico, and 11 countries in the Caribbean and Latin America.

To celebrate their big day, JetBlue flew around a plane with a special coat of paint to honor a decade of jetting the friendly skies.
