JetBlue and Emirates team up

It was announced Monday that low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways will be partnering with Emirates Airline, with the two carriers selling tickets on each others flights.

The new deal mean U.S. travelers can purchase tickets through JetBlue to Emirates various international destinations. Emirates customers can do the same for many of the U.S. cities JetBlue offers.

JetBlue already has partnerships with American Airlines, South African Airways and Aer Lingus.

The benefit to passengers is that they can buy tickets to more destinations without paying additional fees. It also is a great way to market your airline to a whole new traveling audience.

Emirates flies two daily nonstop flights from JetBlue's home in New York to Dubai.
