Like delayed flights, middle seats and checked baggage fees, crying babies are just a part of flying. Parents have to fly, babies have to fly and, sometimes, babies have to cry. (Let’s be honest, after that delayed flight, middle seat, checked bag fee and a couple of non-complimentary alcoholic beverages, who doesn’t feel like crying?)

This week, JetBlue came up with an ingenious solution to turn crying babies into flying babies: for every cry heard during the flight from New York to Long Beach, California, the airline gave its passengers 25% off their next JetBlue flight.

Um. Is it illegal to pinch a baby?
