JetBlue Has Another Good Month

JetBlue Airways released their numbers for June traffic Wednesday with smiles and a 7.2 percent increase.

The airline’s revenue measurement dipped from May however, going from 19 percent down to eight percent.

According to the BusinessWeek report, the carrier’s increased airfares may be losing favor with their loyal consumers.

The numbers didn’t show that however, its paying passengers flew 2.65 billion miles, up from 2.47 billion miles in June of last year.

It did have more empty seats than last June though, but that’s due to JetBlue rapidly adding seats.  Its capacity climbed 10 percent to 3.23 billion seat miles.

The end result though led to a decreased load factor by 2.1 percent to 82.1.

Its total numbers for the first two quarters has JetBlue at a 7.5 percent increase with a 4.9 percent capacity increase.
