That marks the first time in over three years that the Sin City airport reported back-to-back increases. For the month of February, 2.9 million people passed through the Sin City airport, up 2.4 percent from the same time period one year prior. In January the airport saw a 5 percent spike in traffic. According to an Associated Press report, January's jump was due most likelt to major conventions taking place in Vegas that month. However this is still great news for a top U.S. travel destination that has been hit really hard by the global recession.
