Horizon, Alaska Airlines Resume Flights After Tech Difficulties CheapOair Staff March 28, 2011 general Alaska & Horizon Return to Service Sunday Horizon and Alaska Airlines returned to service Sunday after a computer issued forced over 150 canceled flights Saturday. An estimated 12,000 customers were affected by the cancellations. The problem was a system failure in a flight planning tool. A transformer exploded and disabled the central computer system that both airlines utilize.
