Hawaiian Airlines donates to victims of Japan's disasters
Hawaiian helps Japan disaster victims

 

Hawaiian Airlines pilots have raised $14k for victims of Japan's earthquake and tsunami. Monday the Air Line Pilots Association announced that pilots chipped in $9,500, with their union providing an additional $5,000.

 

The Associated Press is reporting that the Hawaii chapter of the Red Cross received a check. Rick Baldwin, a captain for Hawaiian Airlines, said many employees at the company have close ties to Japan. Baldwin organized the fundraiser in just two weeks! 

 

Hawaiian Airlines has a history of generosity, as the Aloha State carrier donated $15,000 in 2009 for victims of the typhoon that hit the Phillipines and Indonesia.
