Orlando, Florida is a mecca of theme parks and other kids’ related activities, but there are lots of things for parents to do too. So, after you book your cheap flights to Orlando and plan your theme park visits, remember to plan some “me” time too. Many of the world-class resorts in central Florida also offer fabulous spas that are great for relaxing.
The Neu Lotus Spa at the Renaissance Orlando SeaWorld Resort
The Renaissance Orlando is located directly across the street from SeaWorld Orlando, and is a great spot to stay if SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica, Discovery Cove is in your family travel plans. A quiet little oasis on the second floor of the hotel, the Neu Lotus Spa is a full service spa that frequently offers customer specials and deals. During my stay there, I was treated to an exfoliating treatment followed by a massage, and it was such a relaxing experience. This spa is smaller than other hotel spas I’ve visited, but the therapist was among the best.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa at Grande Lakes Orlando
The Grande Lakes Orlando resort area includes both a JW Marriott and a Ritz-Carlton, and both share the Ritz-Carlton spa on property. This three-story spa offers over 40,000 square feet, including a wellness center, outdoor lap pool, and 40 treatment rooms. Guests can book a day stay at the spa if they don’t want to have a treatment. During my stay there, I got a signature massage, and followed it up with a trip to the sauna, steam room, and hot tub. You could easily spend an entire afternoon there, but if you can even just get away for an hour, you won’t be disappointed.
Relache Spa at the Gaylord Palms;
Tucked away by the game room at the very busy Gaylord Palms Resort, the Relache Spa is a must-visit for relaxation. Step through the entrance of the spa, and you are immediately transformed away from the bustling hotel. The spa offers a tearoom, relaxation rooms, a sauna, a steam room, and amazingly relaxing digital showers. There’s also a spa gift shop. I really enjoyed my massage – it was completely relaxing and the perfect way to unwind after my long flight.
Senses – A Disney Spa
Even Walt Disney World offers world-class spas on property. The Senses spa, located at both the Grand Floridian Resort and the Saratoga Springs Resort, is a great spot for mom and/or dad to relax after a busy day at the theme parks. Both spas are owned and operated by Disney, and offer popular spa treatments. During a recent stay, I was treated to a massage and really was relaxed and rejuvenated throughout the treatment.
