It was a nice return from a loss of a little over $47 million in 2009. According to the report by Bloomberg, Lufthansa said they were pleased with the results given the amount of snowfall during the end of December. The airline is looking to expand on passenger capacity by 11 percent this summer to accommodate the growing demand. They also announced that they will reduce the first-class seats from 16 to eight on their Boeing 747-400.
