Frontier & Midwest to be branded as one airline

On April 13, Republic Airways Holdings will announce a new name for merging Frontier and Midwest Airlines. A lot rides on the new moniker since both brands come with such loyal customers.

Many Denver and Milwaukee residents treat their respective carriers in the same light as a local politican or sports team. So it comes as no surprise that both cities, upon hearing about the new name to be announced next Tuesday, started protesting in support of their airline.

Republic feels that by combining the two carriers and coming up with a new name that it will assist in creating a fresh, new and larger airline in the long run.
