Frontier Airlines Launches New Orleans Service CheapOair Staff May 21, 2010 general As part of Frontier Airline's continuous growth, the Denver-based carrier has added new nonstop service between Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and Kansas City International Airport with one daily roundtrip flight. Frontier is currently the fastest-growing major airline in the United States, with a 7 percent spike in seat miles expected for 2010. Frontier Airlines' VP of planning and strategy Daniel Shurz said of the new route, "We are very excited to be back in New Orleans launching this community's only nonstop flight to Kansas City." Shurz added, "With the upcoming addition of our nonstop service to Denver on June 11, our New Orleans customers will enjoy easy access to our more than 70 destinations across the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica." The Kansas City-New Orleans route on Frontier will be flown by an Embraer 170 airplane, which offers comfortable leather seating and will have Gogo in-flight by the end of this year.
