Milwaukee Polish Fest

Summer is finally here. Or at least the warm weather is, which means it’s time to head outside and enjoy it. The summer festival season is getting kicked off with some exciting events and festivals throughout the U.S. We’ve highlighted a few of the best events to take in during the month of June.

Bonnaroo Music Festival: Bonnaroo is probably the one event on this list you’ve heard of before, if you haven’t also been. What you might not be so familiar with is the city it takes place in: Manchester. No, we’re talking about Manchester, Tennessee, and not Manchester, England. Bonnaroo is a modern-day equivalent of Woodstock, bringing people from across the world to take in the outdoor music festival. For the ultimate experience, bring a tent and camp out on the farm.

Norfolk Harborfest: The Norfolk Harborfest is a long-running event that has been taking place for over 30 years. Expect a lot of seafood and great live music. One of our favorite parts of this event is the tall ships that sail in, including some that can be toured. The event takes place over a few days during the second weekend in June. Saturday is the best day, capped off by an exciting fireworks display.

Taste of Charlotte: North Carolina is renowned for their food, ranging from fresh, local vegetables to barbecue to seafood. Travel to Charlotte and you can experience the best of North Carolina’s food at the Taste of Charlotte festival. Enjoy local food from some of North Carolina’s best restaurants and merchants, as well as a fair share of beer, wine, and cocktails from local and national brands.

Milwaukee Polish Fest: The Milwaukee Polish Fest is the largest Polish festival in the U.S. The festival takes place during the third weekend of June at Milwaukee’s Summerfest grounds. The event includes live music, Polish dancing, vodka tastings, piano competition, and cooking demonstrations. Friday includes $.50 admission from noon until 5 p.m. and half-off admission from 5 p.m. until midnight.

Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival: Set against the backdrop of the rolling hills, this is a great festival for a day trip or long-weekend break from L.A. There will be wine and beer for sale, as well as daily wine tastings. Guests may reserve balloon rides in advance, however, we recommend drinking after your balloon ride. There will also be live music each night.
