Emirates launches NYC Double-Decker flights again

Emirates airline is flying the double-decker Airbus A380 again to New York after over a yearlong break. The Dubai-based carrier launched service Monday with an 8:30 am flight from the Persian Gulf city-state.

The airline was the first carrier to regularly fly the superjumbo to the U.S. in 2008. Emirates paused service less than a year later in June 2009 because of feeble demand created by the economic downturn.
