Emirates announced a partnership with the soccer team, Real Madrid.

The Dubai-based airline has agreed to a five-deal to sponsor the team as its official airline partner in a deal that’s worth an estimated $5 million per year.

There will be no shirt sponsorship however.  That’s currently under contract with Austrian gambling operator, Bwin, until 2013.

The announcement was made at Santiago Bernabue stadium Friday, Cristiano Ronaldo was in attendance.
