Disney is coming to Shanghai

The Walt Disney Company and Shanghai Shendi Group broke ground Friday on the new Shanghai Disney Resort. 

A special ceremony was held, paying tribute to the Chinese culture complete with music by a 50 person Shanghai children's choir and other attractions.

The star of the show however was a large rodent. Of course we're talking about Mickey Mouse. The world's most famous mouse was decked out in traditional Chinese attire. 

The park is estimated to take five years to be completed and will feature a Magic Kingdom style park, two hotels, plenty of retail, dining and entertainment venues.
