Denver International Airport Installs New Solar Array CheapOair Staff September 15, 2010 general 1 Comment Denver airport is one of the greenest in the U.S. Denver International Airport announced Tuesday it would be working on a new solar system with Constellation Energy Group Inc this year. The 4.4 megawatt installation would mark the third installation of solar energy at one of the nation's greenest airports. The plan is for the airport to purchase electricity over a 20-year period through Constellation, who will own, operate and finance the solar system. Full terms of the deal were not disclosed to the public. The project is expected to get started sometime this fall and will be finished by early next year. Source: Business Week
