Delta Air Lines reaffirms 787s order for 2020

Monday, Delta Air Lines announced that it was take delivery of the first of 18 Boeing 787s in 2020. The deliveries will be postponed to arrive between 2020 and 2022.

The original deliveries were scheduled for between 2008 and 2010. Delta inherited the Boeing Co. 787 order in an agreement to acquire Northwest Airlines.

The news ended long time uncertainty over the fate of the order. The airline reported the order reaffirmation in a regulatory filing.
