Yesterday we reported that Delta Air Lines was about to undergo a major face-lift at JFK Airport this fall. Well the airline is now planning a different kind of project at the other Big Apple hub in which they believe will “reinvent the customer dining experience.”

The plan is to open 13 new food and beverage concepts at LaGuardia Airport this fall at their main terminal. Commenting on the new idea, Delta’s senior vice president, New York Gail Grimmett said: “As part of our aggressive plan to invest and improve our main terminal at LaGuardia, Delta is fully committed to enhancing the experience for our New York customers with superior amenities that include outstanding food and beverage choices.”

Under the plan, Delta will offer customers 13 different food and beverage ideas in a large gourmet food court with cafes and a wine bar to boot.  The new idea will begin in phases, with plans officially kicking off August 21. The newly designed terminal is scheduled to be done by next summer.

Come prepared to eat as travelers can mix and match items from four quick-serve restaurants, hot and cold food bars, a sundae station, soup location, bakery and other locales prepared to fill your belly before departure.
